Denise Chesworth LLB
Denise is the Principal Solicitor at Perth City Legal.
Denise has 12 years experience in the Workers' Compensation jurisdiction, including working as an advocate while studying Law at Murdoch University. She has represented injured workers at teleconferences, conciliations and arbitration proceedings at Workcover as well as negotiating settlements at her clients' requests to ensure the best possible outcomes for them.
Denise graduated with a Law Degree from Murdoch University and went on to complete a graduate diploma in Legal Practice and Legal Ethics. She has tutored in Evidence and Business Law at Murdoch University and is the lecturer of the Pre-Law Alternative Entry Course at Murdoch University.
Denise is admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales and is a member of Lawyers Alliance, The Women's Law Society and the Western Australian Law Society.
Stephen Shaw BA LLB (Hons)
Steve holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from Murdoch University. He graduated with Honours and a Dean's Medal for academic excellence.
He is also a registered migration agent (MARA registration number 0955273).
While studying Law at Murdoch, Steve started his own advocacy business providing representation to injured workers at Workcover.
Steve is the current Academic Chair of Law at Murdoch University. He also lectures in Evidence and undertakes legal research.
Steve and his wife Chris love to spend their weekends on their property in Bridgetown.
Steve is admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
